I love a field for family pictures. It is really all about the people when you are in a field. But a field is unpredictable too. This is my back up location because when I got to my first choice location there were 3 large tractors and a baler cutting the hay. Thanks B family for being flexible!

Aren't they cute??? We had so much fun tromping around in the field before it got too hot. I think later that day it was 108 degrees.

I met this fun family Saturday morning. They were in town visiting for Easter and we were hoping the rain would quit long enough to get a few pictures. It didn't look good when we started so we headed to a nearby bridge that worked out pretty well given our options!

How cute is she??? She gave us some great smiles while running around the park the other night. The azaleas were in full bloom and gorgeous! There will probably be a week maybe two left on the azaleas if anyone is interested in pictures this year!

Maternity Session

I personally love the maternity session it is all about celebration of the little life you have been given. Maternity sessions are at the height of excitement and anticipation. I recommend that the shoot takes place when you are 34-36 weeks. Mamas usually look full and round but not yet swollen and miserable! Since the window is small these appointments need be made as soon as you decide you want to do it! Most couples need a weekend spot and there just aren't that many to go around in such a short time frame.

The disclaimer is that they are mine; so I've loved them way before they entered my life and disrupted my sleep schedule. I can't believe how fast they grow. Jack is now 6 1/2 months old and doing great at sitting up and even scooting a little to get toys.

I took the two of them out on a little photo shoot / new location scout the day before the snow came. No coats, hats, gloves, scarves; life was much simpler a week ago.

They aren't their smiley selves but at least no one is screaming, crying, or falling so it works for this mama!

The word speaks for itself. I can't get enough of this little girl.

I took these in hopes that I could advertise for a Valentine's mini-session; but with the extra inches of snow today I'm not sure when we can get out and about.

As a guideline for babies I suggest the following schedule to get the best results:

4 months (lifting their heads up while laying on their tummies)

7 months (sitting independently)

9 months (standing while holding on to something)

and of course 1st birthday pictures!

For children I suggest every 6 months they change a lot in the first few years!

I love these girlies...literally they're my nieces. What a fun afternoon downtown with all the tall buildings, trains, and glittery treasures!

This one maybe my favorite! Even though Mom and Dad aren't showing their faces it shows the girls are still little.

This is Avery; instead of saying people litter she says they glitter. How could anyone in their right mind correct her. She loves to collect little treasures...and this afternoon I think she thought she found a goldmine. Glittery bottlecaps everywhere :)

What a fun afternoon with this group they even brought out the tractor for me! I love when I get to shoot in new locations and this one is a gold mine. I kept thinking there are tons of places to discover if we only had the time. Kids don't usually last long when it comes to picture taking but these two did great. They definitely have practiced "CHEESE"! And it paid off in some great family photos.

I absoultely love taking photos of little ones especially when you can see the joy in their expressions! This last time I saw this little cute duo I was taking Blaire's newborn pictures; it is amazing how much she has changed in 9 short months.

I love this one. I know Brooks isn't looking at the camera but you can tell he adores his sister and that is just good stuff! They are only a few months apart and I'm sure on their way to being the best of friends!

This little girl is as sweet as she can be and so tiny too. She was born a little earlier than everyone was especting but thankfully she and Mama are doing really well.
